Also conferred ‘50 Most Talented Global HR Leaders in Asia’ Award

Mr. K S Jamestin, Director (HR & BD/JV) was conferred with two prestigious honours - The ‘JRD Tata Award for Inspirational Leadership in HR’ and ‘50 Most Talented Global HR Leaders in Asia’, at a glittering Awards ceremony during the 22nd edition of the World HRD Congress in Mumbai on 16th February, 2014.

The JRD Tata Award for Inspirational Leadership in HR has been conferred on him by the Jury for displaying exemplary vision and leadership in the field of Human Resources, while leading India’s most profitable Maharatna.

The 50 Most Talented Global HR Leaders in Asia is recognition of his extraordinary contribution, strategic perspective, track record, ability for sustainability, future orientation, integrity and ethics and rare competencies.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Jamestin thanked the Jury for conferring the honours – which he acknowledged on behalf of the entire regular and indirect workforce of ONGC. He commended the stature of the Awards,  as the  most coveted in the industry and which the industry stands up and takes note of. He mentioned that Managing HR in PSUs is a different ball game, as one has to deliver despite multiple controls and constraints. He assured that ONGC will continue to strive and deliver for the nation.
