In yet another major recognition to its industry-best internal communications among employees, ONGC employee portal has been conferred with the Asian Leadership Award for Excellence in Branding and Marketing, under the “Best In House Magazine” category.

This international award comes as another feather in the illustrious cap of, which is managed a small team of Corporate Communications, under the able guidance of Director (HR). The interactive and dynamic features, developed on this portal in the last few years, have been recognized by globally-reputed bodies a number of times. Some of the earlier awards are:

  • has been recognized as the world’s best intranet website  in the government category by USA-based Society of New Communications Research (SNCR) in May 2016.
  • This portal was featured in the Limca Book of Records 2017 – for the first website in India to publish cartoons specifically on petroleum.
  • ONGC Internal Communications won the Gold Award from Association of Business Communicators (ABCI) in December 2017.

Asian Leadership Award

ONGC ED Head Strategy, Corporate Planning, Rajarshi Gupta received the honor on behalf of ONGC in a virtual ceremony held on 15 July 2021. Extending gratitude on receiving the accolade, Mr Gupta noted that the interactive e-magazine of ONGC binds and inspires its 28,000+ employees across the nation. “The magazine is transparent, dynamic and provides best digital experience to all our stakeholders,” he added.

In its 19th edition this year, the Asian Leadership Award has recognized the contributions of business leaders and organizations across Asia for their continuing commitment to excellence, developing best practices and innovative strategies. The award partners with over 50 countries across Asia and eyes at recognizing the achievements of the leading business visionaries across all industry sectors and to honor their contributions towards the region's economic development.
