The country's upstream oil major ONGC bagged the Most Valuable Company andMost Eco Friendly Company awards in the Maharatna Category for its outstanding performance at the India Today PSUs Awards in New Delhi.

India Today PSUs Awards - Mr. Shashi Shanker, Director (T&FS), ONGC receiving the awards from Union Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, Mr. Piyush Goyal and Union Cabinet Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The awards were received by Mr. Shashi Shanker, Director (T&FS) for both the categories at a glittering ceremony organized for the awardees by the prestigious India today Group on Monday.

The Award on Most Eco Friendly Company was given by Union Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, Mr. Piyush Goyal and the Award on Most Valuable Company was given away by Union Cabinet Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad.

These are the second India Today Group's PSU awards and are a celebration of success stories, and recognition of the contribution of these government-owned companies towards economic growth and social welfare of the nation. The results, arrived at after a rigorous process , also reflect their market performance.

CMD, ONGC, Mr. D K Sarraf complimented all the employees in making untiring efforts for taking the company onto the path of excellence.
