Gurwinder Singh Chandi
Gurwinder Singh Chandi joined ONGC on July 20, 2010 as an Asst. HR Executive and hails from a family of farmers. He had inspiration to play hockey at home from his uncle Baljit Singh Chandi, international hockey player with Punjab and Singh Bank. He achieved Gold Medal in 1st Asian Championship Trophy held at China in 2011, Gold Medal in Azlan Shah Hockey tournament held at Malaysia in 2010, Bronze Medal in Azlan Shah Hockey tournament held at Malaysia in 2012. He was an important member of the team that represented India at the London Olympics held at England in 2012 and Sr. World Cup held at New Delhi in 2010
Akashdeep Singh
Akashdeep Singh was scouted for ONGC sports scholarship while he was just 17 yrs of age. No sooner he represented ONGC in major All India Hockey tournaments he made his presence felt for his charismatic stick work and unique goal scoring skills. An astonishing goal against star studded Indian Oil team in semi-finals of All India Agha Khan Hockey tournament 2011 held at Mumbai made him an overnight star. He later contributed to ONGC's maiden wins at prestigious All India Nehru and Shastri Hockey tournament. He also has achieved FIH Champions Trophy Semi-finalist, Australia 2012, World Hockey League participation, New Delhi 2014, Bronze cup in Jr Men's Asia Cup hockey tournament as a captain held at Malaysia in 2012 and Silver medal at Johor Bahru hockey tournament held at Malaysia in 2012. He also participated in Sr. World Cup Netherland 2014 and Jr. World New Delhi, 2013.
