ONGC has been unique in being in-house in all areas, not only in producing Oil and Gas but in the field of sports too. Debutant Navdeep Saini, Junior Security Supervisor in ONGC, has made a very impressive debut against the West Indies cricket team.

Navdeep Saini, aged 26 years, was born in Karnal, Haryana and joined ONGC on Scholarship in the 2015 and played many tournaments where he performed exceptionally well for ONGC cricket team. He joined ONGC pay-rolls in February 2018.

Saini’s debut was in the presence of another ONGCian – skipper Virat Kohli. The match was played at Florida (USA). It  was the first match of T -20 series held on Saturday 3 August.

He not only got 3 wickets but also bowled at great pace extracting good bounce and moved the ball  in both directions.

Navdeep made his first class debut in the year 2013-14 season for Delhi, under the captainship of the then ONGCian Gautam Gambhir, Hon’ble MP currently. Since then, Navdeep Saini has never looked back. He went on to perform at all levels and grabbed each opportunity.

He is a perfect example of ONGC nurturing talent at grass root level. ONGC continues to contribute talented sportsperson to this great nation.
