D.K. Sarraf receiving IOD Distinguished Fellowship 2015 from Rt. Hon. Baroness VermaThe Institute of Directors (IOD) has conferred Distinguished Fellowship 2015 to ONGC CMD Mr. D.K. Sarraf for steering boards of the Maharatna firm and its group companies with highest standards of corporate governance.

"I humbly accept this great honor bestowed upon me, as a mark of recognition to ONGC's achievements and imbibing leadership culture along-with highest standards of corporate governance in the organization", remarked Mr. Sarraf after accepting the fellowship.  Besides holding a master's degree in commerce, he is a member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Chief Guest on the occasion, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Energy & Climate Change, Govt. of UK, Rt. Hon. Baroness Verma awarded the fellowship to CMD ONGC on 10 July 2015 on the Silver Jubilee event of IOD.

Mr. Sarraf joins the league of extraordinary achievers who have received this coveted honor. The first Distinguished Fellowship award was presented to Bharat Ratna Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India. Other prominent personalities to have received the award include Mr. Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways;Mr. Atul Singh, CEO, Coca-Cola India; Mr. Jagdish Khattar IAS, former ManagingDirector, Maruti Udyog; Mr. R Seetharaman, Group CEO, Doha Bank, Qatar; Rt. Hon. Baroness Verma, Minister in UK Government and Chief Whip Spokesperson for International Development, House of Lords, UK; General Ved Prakash Malik, former Chief of Army Staff among several others
