As you walk into a 270 square meters Area, one gets to see a series of  working simulations depicting ONGC varied operations in the E&P sector .

  1. Seavilization – A 3D virtual Virtual Movie on deep  water exploration
  2. State of the art logging unit
  3. Drilling Rig site with fire fighting mechanism in  place.
  4. Garden with a difference – populated by drilling bits  and not by tree
  5. In-situ Combustion unit
  6. Underground coal gasification unit 
  7. Group Gathering Station with different safety  mechanisms.
  8. Static robotic fire-fighter made from scrap and  condemned field equipment

Aesthetics did not take a backbench  as these models were neatly flanked by panels depicting the well-knit story of  journey of ONGC over the last 60 years. Starting from Make in India, Start Up  India, State of the Art Exploration & Production technologies, OVL-India’s  Biggest Multinational, MRPL-the downstream wing of ONGC, OTPC-a gas based power  plant, Centres for Excellence consisting of various Institutes, CSR, Sports, Environment Protection, Sustainability and Health Safety & Management one gets to  visualise under one umbrella the magnanimity of ONGC’s varied operations and the competence of its 33,000 strong workforce. Technical Posters, Oil Samples,  colour scheme and ambience lighting of the stall all added to the grandeur of  the ONGC stall.

Manned by men and women in orange,  the atmosphere was vibrant and euphoric as CMD, ONGC, Mr. Dinesh K. Sarraf  inaugurated the ONGC stall in Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show 2017. He was  accompanied by Mr. V. P. Mahawar, Director (Onshore), Mr. Siddhartha Sur,  ED-Head IRS, Mr. D. M. R. Sekhar, ED-Asset Manager, ED-Asset Manager,  Ankleshwar Asset, Mr. P. K. Mishra, GGM-Asset Manager, Ahmedabad Asset and Mr.  S. P. Nainwal, GGM-Head WSS during the inauguration and thereafter the luminaries  went round the knowledge centre visualising and appreciating the stall set up  by Team CC along with the Technical Workforce of Cambay Basin.

CMD and Director (Onshore) closely interacted while visualising each of the working models specially complimented the involvement of young executives specially girls in field operations and conjoined upon the feasibility of using these models as training tools and example for other work centres to emulate. CMD had special praise for the intricacies which were brought about by the Logging, Fire Services Unit and In-Situ Combustion Models. The comments in the visitors book bears testimony to the fact about the high rating of the stall which CMD and Director (Onshore) penned down.

Earlier Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 8th Edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show in the Exhibition Ground, Near Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The ONGC stall as part of this show has been set up in Hall No 8 along with other companies in the Oil & Gas Sector and will be open for visitors till 13 February 2017 (noon). More than 1000 exhibiting companies spread over 1,25,000 square meters are taking part in this exhibition.
