Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas Mr Dharmendra Pradhan has launched key ONGC CSR projects, benefiting thousands of residents of Dehradun.
Addressing a large public gathering, Mr Pradhan reiterated Govt’s commitment towards welfare of all sections of the society. With launch of these projects, ONGC would be partnering citizens of the city in several welfare schemes.
Projects dedicated by the MoS include Tubewell project at Prem Nagar, Public sanitation facilities at Tapkeshwar temple and Harit Moksha project at Prem Nagar and Tapkeshwar.
he Tubewell project in Prem Nagar, Cantonment area would benefit 20,000 people. Construction of Public facilities (5 seated toilet complex) in Tapkeshwar would benefit over 2 lakh pilgrims who visit this historic temple annually. Installing Harit Moksh Green Cremation Systems at Prem Nagar & Tapkeshwar would be of immense contribution towards environment.
Mr Pradhan was on visit to Dehradun to participate in meeting of Consultative Committee for MoPNG and visited various institutes of ONGC also. Earlier, on his arrival to ONGC Headquarters, he visited Martyr's memorial and paid homage to ONGC officers who laid down their lives in service of the country.
Mr. Pradhan also visited Subir Raha Museum at Tel Bhavan, Keshava Deva Malaviya Institute of Petroleum Exploration (KDMIPE), Institute of Drilling Technology (IDT), GEOPIC and ONGC Academy and took keen interest in various research projects. At GEOPIC, he also visited Aryabhata-2, supercomputer system for ONGC operations which is one of the best in the world.
The Minister interacted with young graduate trainees at ONGC Academy and remarked that their enthusiasm gives confidence of a bright future for ONGC.
Later, Mr Pradhan also addressed media and held friendly discussion on a host of issues. Dharmendra Pradhan launched key ONGC CSR project benefiting thousands of residents of Dehradun.
The Minister visited ONGC's IDT and got acquainted with various functions of advanced drilling technology. ONGC CMD D K Sarraf , Director (T&FS) Shashi Shanker , Director (Offshore ) T K Sengupta, Director (HR) DD Misra, Director (Exploration ) A.K. Dwivedi, Director (Onshore) VP Mahawar, Director ( F) A.K. Srinivasan were also present.

Petroleum Secretary Kapil Dev Tripathi, Addl Secretary Mr. UP Singh , ONGC CMD Dinesh K Sarraf , Director(T&FS) Mr. Shashi Shanker , Director(Offshore ) Mr. TK Sengupta, Director (HR) Mr. DD Misra, Director(Exploration ) Mr. A.K. Dwivedi, Director (Onshore) Mr. VP Mahawar, Director( F) Mr. A.K. Srinivasan were also present on this occasion.
Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan experienced a live demonstration of 3D Reservoir Model at the virtual reality center at Keshava Deva Malaviya Institute of Petroleum Exploration (KDMIPE).
Minister visited GEOPIC and saw Aryabhata-2, the supercomputer system for ONGC operations which is one of the best in the world.
