Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) bagged four major honors, two for exploration and one each in CSR and Swachh Bharat, in the Dun & Bradstreet (DNB) PSU Awards 2019. DNB, which is one of the largest agencies in the world that provide commercial data, analytics, and insights for businesses and institute awards every year under PSU Category. The awards are selected after a multilevel due diligence about the performance of ‘Individual Companies’.

The awards were presented by the Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Mr Arvind Ganpat Sawant. Director (Technology & Field Services) Mr Navin Chandra Pandey received the awards from the Minister, along with Chief CSR Mr. SSC Parthiban and ED Excom Mr. Sanjay Chawla.

According to an elaborate DNB analysis, ONGC came up to be the:

  • Best in Mining and Exploration (Crude Oil)
  • Best Maharatna in Mining and Exploration
  • Best in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives
  • Best in Swachh Bharat Initiatives

The award ceremony was also graced by Secretary, Ministry of Power Mr Subhash Chandra Garg, Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) Mr Deepak Kumar Hota and Managing Director, Dun & Bradstreet India Mr Manish Sinha.
