In a matter of great pride, ONGC Scholarship Boxer Lovlina Borgohain clinched the Gold Medal in Umakhanov Memorial International Boxing Tournament, held at Kaspersky (Russia) from 29 July to 4 August, 2019.

Lovlina Borgohain, who participated in the 60 kg Women Category, bagged the glory by beating Italian boxer Assunta Canfora, with score 3-2 in the final bout.

Lovlina also got selected for the forthcoming Women’s World Boxing Championship. Belonging from the Golaghat district of Assam, her career's biggest break came when she was selected to participate in the Commonwealth Games, 2018. 

She is on Scholarship in ONGC since 1 November, 2018.
