ONGCian Shiva Thapa won a bronze medal in the recently concluded Asian Boxing Championships held at Bangkok, Thailand. Shiva created history to win his fourth successive medal in Asian championships.
Shiva Thapa has won gold in 2013, a bronze in 2015 and silver in the 2017 edition of the marquee continental event. He is the youngest Indian Boxer to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London. His journey has been tough but fruitful and he is the first Indian ever to achieve the feat.
Shiva Thapa was also conferred with Arjuna Award in 2016.
