A woman is the full circle, within her is the power to create, nurture and transform. Women have made vast improvements in their professional roles over the past few decades by breaking the glass ceiling and holding important leadership positions across the industry.

‘SHENERGY’ – She in Energy, the idea and concept of ED Chief-CC and executed by Team CC showcased transformation of women’s role in society with changing times and how women have been empowered in the present era. It also displayed the passion and effort of women in the energy sector, as breaking the glass ceiling today women are accepting the challenging roles at their respective work place.

A Dice shaped LED deriving its meaning from the historical times of Mahabharata was placed at the Shenergy Kiosk at Petrotech 2019, which was held from 10-12 February 2019 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The Kiosk displayed various facts and figures regarding the industry and how it may improve if women are given equal importance at work place. A special Shenergy film was also played at the Kiosk, which added to its essence. It was an exclusive display of courage, commitment and competence of women soldiers in the energy sector.

The Kiosk was manned by CC Team and women officers from ONGC work centers who talked about their experiences of working at field work locations and how it has contributed to their overall personality development.

In first of its kind initiative, ONGC Shenergy Kiosk received a huge response at Petrotech 2019. Industry leaders and energy captains visited the Shenergy Kiosk and interacted with the women executives at length. Despite his busy schedule ONGC CMD Mr. Shashi Shanker visited the kiosk and praised the concept.

President OPEC & Petroleum Minister Republic of Venezuela, His Excellency El Mayor General Manuel Salvador Quevedo Fernandez specially made a point to visit the Shenergy Kiosk and understand the concept behind SHENERGY.

HE M/G Manuel Salvador Quevedo was overwhelmed and viewed the digital displays with keen interest & enthusiasm. He interacted with the women in energy sector at length and was happy to know that women employees in this sector are breaking barriers and creating new roadmap for themselves.

He was so impressed with the concept of SHENERGY that he asserted to take the idea back to OPEC and carry forward the campaign there.

The Shenergy kiosk was a big hit at Petrotech 2019, by getting numerous footfalls and particularly visits of various industry leaders from the oil & gas sector. Many prominent people from the industry visited the Kiosk and praised the efforts of the entire team.

The Shenergy Kiosk was also awarded a special prize at Petrotech Exhibition Awards Ceremony for ‘Most Innovative Concept and Display.’
