The valedictory function of Petrotech 2019 brought the curtains down for the three day international conference and exhibition. The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Governor of UP Mr. Ram Naik on 12 February 2019. On the dais, with him, were Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Secretary, Petroleum & Natural Gas Dr M M Kutty and Chairman of Steering Committee, Petrotech 2019 & ONGC CMD Mr. Shashi Shanker.
Welcoming the Hon’ble Governor and addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan said that Petrotech 2019 has unleashed a new digital platform and has boosted opportunities in the oil and gas industry. Summarizing the event, he said that we have come under one roof to see the future of oil and gas industry. He also congratulated the Petrotech team for the successful completion of the three day event.
Addressing the august gathering of the delegates and participants of Petrotech 2019, Hon’ble Governor of UP Mr. Ram Naik congratulated the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas for hosting the 13th edition of Petrotech 2019 successfully. He said, “Petrotech is now well established after the series of 13 successful editions and has secured a reputation at the international level.” He added that the Government of India has launched various schemes over the past 4 years to promote innovation through a culture of entrepreneurship & start-ups. And that the country has achieved unmatched rate of growth. “Petrotech 2019 will help to shape a sustainable future for the coming generation and that it provided equal space for every oil and gas company”, he added.
Lifetime Achievement Awards were given away at the event in three different categories, namely, The Lifetime Achievement Award in Upstream category and the Special Jury Lifetime Achievement Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award in Upstream category was conferred to Former Director (Drilling),ONGC Ltd. Mr.S.M. Malhotra. The Lifetime Achievement Award for Downstream category was given to Former Director (Refineries and Pipelines), IOC Ltd Mr. Arjun Kumar Arora. The Special Jury Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Former MD, ONGC Videsh Ltd. Mr. Atul Chandra.
Two other awards, namely, Best Oral Paper Presentation and Best Digital Poster Petrotech Award were conferred to Mr. Sashi Kr. Savalam and Mr. Gautam Chandra Chopra, respectively.
