The globalized version of half-a-century old  ONGC in-house   exploration journal ONGC Bulletin has been launched on ONGC corporate website ongcindia.com. The project of putting this on a digital platform has been done by Corporate Communications with the support of the KDMIPE team.

This was formally launched on the KDMIPE 57th Annual Day program by ED-Head KDMIPE Dr. Harilal. The platform can now be accessed through www.ongcindia.com. The vision of going digital was to disseminate its knowledge to the larger Geo-scientific community and other professionals who are engaged in oil & gas business through wider accessibility.

ED-Head KDMIPE Harilal launched the globalized version of the ONGC Bulletin

The task of publishing the digital version and making it available through the ONGC Website to global reach has been accomplished jointly by Publication Division, Library, IIWS Section of KDMIPE, Dehradun and Corporate Communication of ONGC, Delhi Office. This endeavor is certainly going to be beneficial for the Geo-scientific fraternity and other professionals engaged in the exploration & exploitation of Oil & Gas globally.

ONGC Bulletin, a biannual publication of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited since 1964, has established itself as an effective medium to share R&D efforts in exploration and production with industries, institutions, and academicians. ONGC Bulletin presents a peer-reviewed authoritative collection of articles on a range of Exploration, Laboratory-based geological & Geochemical studies. It has unstintingly continued to serve the Indian petroleum Geoscience community over the past 53 years since its inception.

Attentive efforts are being made to enrich the contents of the Bulletin with inputs from industry and academia alike. Besides showcasing the latest research articles in the relevant research areas, it occasionally presents theme-based special issues such as Unconventional Hydrocarbon Resources, Exploration in Synrift, Phanerozoic Stratigraphy of India, and many more. So far the ONGC Bulletin was presented in print form only. However, it is for the first time, ONGC Bulletin December 2018 issue (Volume 53, no.2) is being presented in digital format also for disseminating its knowledge to the larger Geo-scientific community and other professionals who are engaged in oil & gas business through wider accessibility.
