ONGC has become the first Public Sector Enterprise to launch  a unique portal on Gender sensitization to impart training on prevention of  sexual harassment (PoSH) at workplace.On  25 January 2017, Director (HR) Mr. D.D. Misra launched the portal at Dehradun, in  the presence of ED Head ONGC Academy Mr. Avinash Chnadra, ED Chief Security Mr.  Devesh Chandra Srivastva, Chief ER Mr. Alok Misra and Chief HRD Mr. V K Verma and  several key executives.

Launching the portal, Director (HR) Mr. D D Misra said the  initiative was conceptualized to provide protection against sexual harassment  at work place and for prevention and redressal of complaints of such issues.  This apart, the training will help inculcate a great sense of responsibility  and professional ethics, required to discharge duties more efficiently, he  added.

The initiative, which is the brainchild of Director (HR),  aims at covering over 3,000 senior officers at the level of Deputy General  Manager and above in the first phase. The project, which has been implemented  by the premier institute ONGC Academy, will have a complete roll out over a  period of one year to sensitize all the employees of the Energy Maharatna.

The training is available to participants on ONGC Intranet  site as well as individual latest versions of tablets and smart phones. It is  an e-learning training program which is helpful towards creating paperless  office and provides an immersive experience of training at multi locations simultaneously with the same effectiveness as done in classroom training.

It consists of three modules followed by quiz (Employee  Engagement Module, Management Awareness Module and ICC Orientation Modules) and regulations. Director (HR) congratulated Head of Institute Mr. Avinash Chandra  and his team at ONGC academy.
