Mr Ved Prakash Mahawar, Director (Onshore), ONGC received the prestigious CEPM  Fellowship Award for the year 2016. This award was bestowed upon him for his  excellent and outstanding contribution in the area of Project and Risk  Management.

The award was presented by Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog, Government of  India at the 24<sup>th</sup> Global Symposium-2016 on Project Management held at New Delhi.

The symposium, organized by Centre for Excellence in Project Management(CEPM)in association with International Institute of Projects and Program Management presented the award in the presence of over 600 participants.

This award was bestowed upon Mr Mahawar for his Project and Risk Management  skills demonstrated in successfully managing number of stakeholders viz  personnel engaged in the operations, various service providers, nearby  community, media, local administration etc. and for enhancing the production of  oil & gas in ONGC’s onshore assets by project management approach.

Mr Mahawar’s technical and managerial skills, helped in expediting and  successfully completing stalled projects of gas pipeline laying and up-gradation  of surface installations. He enabled commissioning of OTPC during his tenure as  Asset Manager, Tripura through early monetisation of the E&P resources and  ascertaining the availability of all the requisite surface facilities to  produce natural gas to run the gas generators at OTPC.

His managerial skills were also visible in  the controlling of 33 major blowouts of ONGC, OIL India Ltd., Iran offshore of OVL,  underground blowout in Najwat Najem block of Qatar offshore. His project management skills  are evident in expediting projects of Onshore under stage gate process-Gamij Redevelopment Project, Madanam development project, Sonamura GCS project and  CBM Bokaro Project which shall help in boosting production from Onshore.

This award is in recognition of his leadership, dedication and commitment to make ONGC a world class organisation through emphasis on following scientific  project management methodology. Other eminent recipients of the awards include  Shri Ragahv Chandra, Secretary, National Commission for ST, Shri D K Hota, CMD,  BMEL, Dr. Mangu Singh, Managing Director, DMRC, Shri Sanjeev Singh, Director  (Refineries), IOC.
