Oil major ONGC has felicitated India’s Under-19 cricket star Unmukt Chand with an offer of appointment in the rolls of the Maharatna public enterprise. Already under scholarship with ONGC, Chand was felicitated on 4th September 2012 by ONGC CMD Mr. Sudhir Vasudeva, with a purse of 3 lakh rupees.

Kamal Passi, another star contributor in India’s Under-19 triumph, was also felicitated with 2 lakh rupees, in absentia. Passi is also under scholarship with ONGC.

Thanking ONGC for the support extended to him for the last one year, Unmukt Chand said that three things helped the Indian Under-19 team to become the champions – Self-belief, Communications among the team members and Controlled aggression.

Congratulating Unmukt Chand for his stellar contribution in the national glory, ONGC CMD Mr. Sudhir Vasudeva said that the pride for ONGC is all the more due to the oil major’s association with the Indian Under-19 cricket captain. “The three things which helped them emerge victorious viz. Self-belief, Communications and Controlled Aggression, are very vital for success in corporate world also. I welcome Unmukt in the ONGC family and wish him all the success in future. ONGC will be always there behind all his endeavours.”
