The North Zone team was led by Harbhajan Singh and comprised of ONGCians Gautam Gambhir and Unmukt Chand, stalwarts like Virender Sehwag among other national stars. In the semi-finals clash, ONGCian Unmukt Chand scored a brilliant hundred against a formidable East Zone side to secure a finals place for North Zone.

Mr. Rajesh Bawa is Chief Manager (Marketing) posted at Corporate Marketing Group, Delhi and was appointed Manager-cum-Coach of North Zone Cricket Team for Duleep Trophy for the year 2013-14. He was also appointed Manager cum Coach of the North Zone team for Deodhar Trophy for the year 2012-13. North Zone team was led by Gautam Gambhir and the team finished Runners-up losing to West Zone. Star Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh also turned up for North Zone team in the tournament at Nehru Stadium Guwahati, Assam. Earlier in the year 2010, North Zone team lifted the Deodhar trophy.
