In line with the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi regarding financial digitization ONGC has already initiated measures to go cashless in all its townships by 10th April, 2017.
Some presentations have been embedded to give a snap shot of this initiative. It is requested that the models available in the presentations can be used to implement this initiative within the stipulated timeline.
A presentation was made by GNFC through video conference on 4th April, 2017 on digital transaction in ONGC townships, which was attended by CMD, ONGC, Advisor-Niti Ayog and Director(HR), ONGC. As deliberated in the presentation, in order to achieve the target of making ONGC townships as 100% cashless by 10<sup>th</sup> April 2017, the following actions are to be taken immediately:
All the shop keepers and other vendors in the townships are to be persuaded to accept the digital payments through various modes, such as, POS Machines, E-Wallet, BHIM, USSD/UPI, etc. as explained in the presentation;
All the employees and their family members in the township and the shop keepers may be trained to use digital payments through various modes as mentioned above. The awareness programme may be conducted in the Community Centres with Wi Fi facility. The ONGC employees, their children and school children may be encouraged to provide such awareness programme;
Wi Fi Network may be established in the shopping complexes, if required;
The canteen in the office, guest house and schools in ONGC complex may be mandated to accept digital payments;
The above exercise is to be completed on fast track basis and minimum 80% transactions are to be achieved by digital mode by 10th April, 2017;
An apex team may be constituted, at each work centre, consisting of – Head of the Work Centre, In-Charge(HR/ER), In-Charge (Finance), In-Charge (Info com), In-Charge (CC) to oversee the implementation;
Necessary teams for survey, campaign, training, implementation and monitoring may be constituted;
In case the Head of the Work Centre is away, the officiating officers may be may be instructed to complete the task;
Suitable incentives may be provided to the shop keepers, trainers and other team members of ONGC for achieving the target;
