मुंबई हाई में पवन हंस चोपर विमान दुर्घटनाग्रस्त
A Pawan Hans chopper crashed after taking off from one of the platforms in the south field of Mumbai High in Western Offshore.
It happened during a night sortie with two pilots on board, who are required to complete their mandatory hours as per DGCA requirement to maintain the validity of licence for night flying.
This was a non-revenue chopper meant for training of the pilots.
The chopper took off at 19.05 Hrs. and crashed in 10 minutes.
ONGC immediately launched massive search and rescue operations by deploying MSVs ,PSVs and helicopter stationed in Mumbai High field.
Search and rescue operations are still on . Some of the debris have been recovered by ONGC MSVs. There is no damage to any of ONGC installations. ONGC expresses deep anguish at this unfortunate incident.
