Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi declared open the  much awaited mega event 'Make in India Week' at the MMRDA grounds, BKC, Mumbai  yesterday i.e. 13 February 2016. ‘This is one of the biggest multi-sectoral  exhibition India has ever done’, in the words of PM himself.

Inaugurating 'Make in India week' on  Saturday, PM Narendra Modi highlighted various measures that present Government  has taken to make India the favoured business destination of the world in terms  of ease of doing business.

ONGC marked its very promising presence  felt with aptly configured and designed exhibition pavilion showcasing ONGC's  catalytic and enabling endeavours towards making in India from its very  inception and the various initiatives ONGC has taken since PM’s call to make  India a leading manufacturing hub of the world.

It was a remarkable achievement for ONGC  having got acknowledged by the Prime Minister himself who proudly tweeted and  posted on Facebook the pictures of him along with other dignitaries at the ONGC  stall.

Director - Technology and Field Services (T&FS)  Mr Shashi Shanker who earlier inaugurated the ONGC stall took keen interest on  the displays.

ONGC is itself an outcome of the very  spirit of Make in India which drives us even more enthusiastically today for  being active hub of indigenisation efforts in oil and gas sector' were Mr  Shashi Shaker's words which laid basis for the theme and concept for the  pavilion. Director HR Mr D D Misra along with Director (T&FS) were  personally involved in deciding on concept for the ONGC pavilion.

ONGC will seek interest from Indian and  global E&P service industry players to support ONGC’s indigenization drive  during the 6-day exhibition. ONGC through its INDEG team (Acronym for  Indigenization Group) is steering the upstream sector to increase  participation, investment and manufacturing capabilities in India to give  fillip to domestic E&P service sector.

ED- Asset Manager Mumbai High Mr R Kakkar,  GGM-HRO Mr S Gopinath, GGM Chief CC Mr Pallab Bhattacharya and GM (D)-EA to D (T&FS) Mr Anurag Sharma and members of INDEG team were present. Corporate Communications  team comprising officers from Delhi and Mumbai was also present along with  other officers from office of Director T&FS.
