CMD Dr Alka Mittal gets ‘Inspiring CEO of India’ Award in Economic Times CEO Conclave 2022
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) CMD Dr Alka Mittal was conferred with the “Inspiring CEO of India" Award at the second edition of "The Economic Times CEO Conclave 2022” on 30 June 2022. Based on the theme "Stalwarts in Excellence: Redefining the Future”, the ET CEO Conclave honored CMD Dr Mittal for her “endeavours and success mantra” among top CEOs in the country. The award was presented to her for “leadership before pandemic and after the pandemic” that now “evolved to newer levels.”
In her acceptance address after receiving the award, ONGC CMD Dr Alka Mittal said, “We must remember the sole reason why we have the opportunity to stand at these prestigious stages and meet so many pathbreaking leaders. Without the consistent efforts of our Energy Soldiers, as an organization, we could not have achieved these stellar heights
In the context of the recent incident in Mumbai High, she said, “We are indebted to the Hon’ble Minister of State Shri Rameswar Teli Ji for his inexhaustible energy in dealing with the crisis at hand, which is a huge source of inspiration to ONGC. While he had an immense responsibility of comforting the corporation, in his humility, he also made sure that he celebrated the birthday of one of the survivors of the incident.”
Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Rameswar Teli said, “ONGC is an excellent example of how the nation can source natural resources when everyone seems to doubt its possibility. Through many hardships, and obstacles, ONGC has proven yet again that resilience is the key.” The Minister had just returned from Mumbai Offshore after surveying the consequences of the chopper emergency landing incident.
