As part of ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2021 observed across ONGC, an online Business Partners Meet for MSEs was organized on 28 October 2021 (10 am to 1 pm) in New Delhi Corporate Office by Corporate MM Services, in association with Corporate Vigilance.
In line with the theme of this year “Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity”, the focus of the event was to raise awareness and strengthen business partnership with micro and small enterprises who continue to play an instrumental role in building a strong self-reliant India. The event was attended by more than 70 MSEs and with sessions conducted by outside experts from NSIC, GeM and TReDS agencies in addition to internal teams from ICE, INDEG and Corporate MM of ONGC. The main focus of the program was to make the MSE business partners familiar about these processes so that they can utilize these tools to develop competitive edge in the market, which would in turn also benefit ONGC in terms of increased competition in the bidding process.
The participants were welcomed by ED-Chief MM Services (Offg.) GVVS Rao and CGM-Head Corporate Vigilance Dr U K Pandey. ED-Head EPC Sanat Kumar, ED-Head Purchase Neeraj Kumar and GGM (MM)-Head PMC P K Goel also attended the event.

The first session was on “Introduction to Business Operation, Procurement Policy and Vendor Management in ONGC” conducted by DGM (MM), Corporate MM Services M K Das, which attempted to sensitize and provide an overview to the MSE partners on various aspects and opportunities they can explore in ONGC.
The session was followed with another informative presentation by the Director-GeM and his team on registration on GeM and the latest initiative “SAHAY” providing working capital support to the MSMEs. CGM (MM) Shishir Agrawal and his ICE team made a presentation on various features of Vendor Invoice Management System (VIMS).
GM (D) Rakesh Sharma and DGM (Elect) Saurabh Kumar from INDEG team made a presentation showcasing the opportunities available to domestic vendors, in view of new development order policy. The special session in the event for MSEs owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs was conducted by GM, National SC/ST Hub, Ministry of MSME K K Sharma, who highlighted various schemes, trainings, handholding and many other initiatives being undertaken for development of SC/ST entrepreneur.
Teams from three TReDS service providers (RXIL, Invoicemart and M1xchange) presented various features and benefits of their platforms. Thereafter, open house Q&A session was conducted. All the queries raised by the MSE partners were replied by ONGC teams and representatives of NSIC, GeM and TReDS.
Thereafter, the event was concluded with the vote of thanks by ED-Chief MM Services (Offg.). Participants appreciated the compering of the program done by Sr. MMO Mohd Salimuddin along with DGM (MM) M K Taye. They also appreciated the entire event organized by the VMC team under CGM (MM)-Head Corp VMC Nikhil Gaur, in close association with DGM (MM)-Vigilance Vijay P T from Corporate Vigilance team.
