हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने अबू धाबी में ADIPEC 2022 में इंडिया पवेलियन का उद्घाटन किया
The Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated the India Pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2022 in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 31 October 2022. ONGC CMD Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, CMD Indian Oil Corporation S M Vaidya, CMD GAIL Sandeep Kumar Gupta, CMD EIL Vartika Shukla, Ambassador of India to the UAE Sanjay Sudheer were among the dignitaries present at the inauguration.
Speaking during the ADIPEC Conference inauguration thereafter, Mr Puri flagged the diverse opportunities that India offers to the world in energy sector and the prowess to provide momentum to India’s journey towards energy self-sufficiency.
He further said that while there is pressure on the economy that comprises 1.4 billion people, “one of the good unintended consequences of high energy prices has been that India has galvanized the movement towards sustainable energy sources like biogas and electric vehicles. Even in fossil fuels, we have opened up a substantial part of ‘No Go’ exploration areas for oil and gas. The energy transition would be undermined if the large hydrocarbon-consuming countries are not on board. High energy prices have consequences that flag the need to diversify the energy sources faster than we would have done otherwise,” the Minister added during ADIPEC 2022 inauguration at Abu Dhabi ADNEC.
The ONGC booth was a part of the eight Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) at the India Pavilion. Hon’ble Minister Mr Puri and ONGC CMD had detailed meetings with various reputed global companies, including ABB, SPE, NPCC and Schlumberger, at the Indian Pavilion.
ADIPEC is one of the leading global conferences for the oil and gas industry. ADIPEC gathers over 2,000 exhibiting companies and 155,000 visitors annually. It was held in a hybrid format in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, the exhibition is being organized between 31 October and 3 November 2022. The event reunites leading stakeholders and decision-makers in the oil sector in the halls of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It gives exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their innovative equipment, technologies and services for the onshore and offshore oil, gas and petrochemical industries to an audience of global energy leaders, executives and government officials.
