ओएनजीसी को जोखिम प्रबंधन के लिए गोल्डन पीकॉक अवार्ड मिला: लंदन ग्लोबल कन्वेंशन
ONGC has added another feather to its cap by receiving the prestigious ‘Golden Peacock Award for Risk Management’ at the 2022 London Global Convention on Corporate Governance & Sustainability organized by the Institute Of Directors (IOD), India, on 11 November at House of Lords in London, United Kingdom.
The award was decided by a distinguished jury chaired by Hon’ble Justice MN Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India and former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission of India and National Commission for Constitution of India Reforms. Other jury members included Shekhar Dutt, IAS (Retd.), Lt. Gen. Surinder Nath (Retd.), Dr Vivek K. Agnihotri, IAS (Retd.), Desh Deepak Verma, IAS (Retd.), Dhanendra Kumar, IAS (Retd.), Anurag Goel, IAS (Retd.), Hem Pande, IAS (Retd.), and Dr Uddesh Kohli, Secretary General, IFTDO, Senior Advisor, Global Compact Office, United Nations.
This Golden Peacock award will globally recognize ONGC’s devotion to risk mitigation in its business and operations. It was received by Director (Onshore) Anurag Sharma, Director (Finance) Pomila Jaspal and CRO on behalf of the Energy Maharatna.
Other companies who received the award in this category were Infosys Limited and Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited for IT, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited for Insurance, Indus Towers Limited for Telecommunication, Blue Star Limited for Consumer Appliances, and National Payments Corporation of India for Financial Services.
Under the Awards’ 3rd cycle, for the year 2022, Golden Peacock Awards Secretariat had invited applications from Corporates, including large and SMEs covering all types of public, private and government enterprises. Out of over 200 responses received, 93 applications were shortlisted for final selection through a 3-tier assessment process by a group that comprised of Corporate Governance, Sustainability and Risk Management experts.
It should be noted that the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award is a coveted and prestigious recognition that an organization could strive to win for environment management. The World Environment Foundation takes pride to have instituted the Annual Award in 1998, in furtherance of its aims and objectives.
