ओएनजीसी के सीएमडी ने 2022 लंदन ग्लोबल कन्वेंशन ऑन कॉरपोरेट गवर्नेंस एंड सस्टेनेबिलिटी में महत्वपूर्ण भाषण दिया
As Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited received the prestigious ‘Golden Peacock Award for Risk Management’ at the 2022 London Global Convention on Corporate Governance & Sustainability, CMD Rajesh Kumar Srivastava delivered the key address at the House of Lords in London, United Kingdom on 11 November 2022. Being organized from 1 to 12 November 2022, the Convention’s prestigious Golden Peacock Award Ceremony took place at Hotel The Montcalm Marble Arch London on 10 and 11 November.
The Convention was organized by the Institute Of Directors (IOD), India, where ONGC CMD was the key speaker in the Plenary Keynote session on Boardroom Challenges in a New World Order. Based on the theme “Building an Effective Board that Works & Top Global Trends”, the Convention had also organized a significant “Global Business Meet” at the UK Parliament’s House of Lords.
Organized on the tenth day of the Convention, the Plenary Keynote Session was chaired by Executive Chairman, Z/Yen Group (UK) Alderman Prof. Michael Mainelli. Other panellists included Chairman & Co-Founder of Global Schools Foundation (Singapore) Mr Atul Temurnikar, Co-founder & Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University Ms Sushma Paul Berlia, and MD & CEO of Central Depository Services Mr Nehal Vora.
As part of the 2022 London Global Convention on Corporate Governance & Sustainability, organized by Institute of Directors, Mr Srivastava was invited on 9 November for a special address at House of Lords, UK Parliament, London. The notable gathering comprised of the Convention Chair the Baroness Sandip Verma (Global Chair, IOD Advisory Council, UN Women UK Chair and former Minister of International Development and Energy& Climate Change at the Government of UK), Co-Chairman of the Hinduja Group (UK) Mr Gopichand P. Hinduja, the High Commissioner of India to UK His Excellency Vikram Doraiswami, IFS, the Lord Johnson of Lainston CBE (former Minister of State for Investment in Cabinet Office and the Department for International Trade, UK), Chief Secretary of Government of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, IAS, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Law, Information Technology in the Government of Puducherry Mr K. Lakshminarayanan, Founder & Chairman of the Caparo Group Plc. UK, the Rt. Hon. Lord Swraj Paul of Marylebone, PC, former Commerce Secretary Mr BVR Subrahmanyam, and former Chief Election Commissioner of India Mr Navin Chawla.
Speaking on the occasion, ONGC CMD highlighted why the UK was significant to India, why India was itself important to UK, and what more is required to strengthen the relationship. He articulated how ONGC has moved into an aggressive exploration regime through partnerships with international majors like EXXON, Chevron, Equinor, among other companies all over the world. CMD ONGC invited other major players to partner with corporates in India, ONGC in particular, as the country offered immense possibilities through extreme government support and industry friendly policies.
