The former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman and an ONGCian Mr. Ajay Ratra would be coaching Indian Women’s National Team for the current season. He has been selected as a specialized coach for the team.
Mr. Ajay Ratra is a qualified BCCI-NCA level B coach for the last five years. Earlier, he had coached Punjab team captained by Mr. Harbhajan Singh and Mr. Yuvraj Singh in the year 2017-2018.

Mr. Ajay Ratra is remembered for his gritty knock of 115 not out against the mighty West Indies at Antigua in 2002 in an inning where many Indian players found it tough to bat against whirlwind West Indian’s fast bowling. This was when, even the favourites like Anil Kumble had to leave injured. He became the youngest wicketkeeper to make a century in Tests, and the second Indian wicketkeeper to make an overseas century.
He was also a member of the Indian Team which won the NatWest Trophy at Lords in 2002, chasing 326 runs.
Mr. Ajay Ratra has been instrumental in winning PSPB, since the time he joined ONGC. He also won many other local and all national level tournaments for ONGC.
Mr. Ajay Ratra has been a regular and a very active participant contributing to many CSR activities of ONGC including Cyclothon, Old age Homes, Tree plantations, Khelo India etc.
