The CEO Conclave held at the 13th edition of PETROTECH 2019, international conference and exhibition, organized by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), in association with FIPI, under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was chaired by Secretary MoPNG Mr. MM Kutty.

Mr. Kutty in his address at the session said, “Shift to Electric Vehicles (EV’s) as the Annual sale of the Automobiles is likely to increase by 85million”.

Starting with the session, Mr. Kutty Spoke that India is the world’s largest leader in Renewable Resources, therefore Renewable resources play a major role in energy contribution of India. He also spoke about the growth rates of various Petroleum Products which are undergoing rapid changes.

The panelists in the conclave were Secretary MoPNG Mr. MM Kutty, Managing Partner and Chairman, A.T. Kearney Mr. Alex Liu, Chairman, Indian Oil Mr. Sanjiv Singh, CEO & MD, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited Mr. Subramanian Sarma, CEO, Qatar Gas Mr. Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Thani, CMD, GAIL India Ltd Mr. B. C. Tripathi and ONGC CMD Mr. Shashi Shanker.

Followed by Secretary MoPNG speech CMD, ONGC Mr. Shashi Shanker gave his reviews on upstream session. Starting with his speech he said “Difficult period of Upstream sector is due to oversupply of Crude Oil and Renewable Energy sources was going at a pace of 17%.” He also gave his view points on Oil and Gas as the major energy role in the recent era, Oil is going to play a very important role in the near future and in 2017 the energy demand was 2.2 barrels a day.

Mr. Sanjiv Singh said, “For developed countries the energy demands are different and for a country like India, the energy changes will bring a major change.”

Speaking on the occasion CEO, Qatar Gas Mr. Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Thani said that mobility is tracking the business thus moving ahead with the fuel. CMD, GAIL India Ltd Mr. B. C. Tripathi said, “Integration of Renewable Resources with natural gas is taking much integration, thus leading to major changes.”

A questionnaire session was also held at the Conclave. All the panelists gave a competent answer for all the questions raised for them.

The session ended with a vote of thanks by Managing Partner and Chairman, A.T. Kearney Mr. Alex Liu and a standing ovation by the audience.
