ONGC has once again achieved a remarkable feat in the field of sports, where Para Athletes on ONGC scholarship were a part of the Indian Contingent and have brought laurels to the country and ONGC by winning two Gold, four Silver and three Bronze medals in swimming, shooting, badminton and athletics in the recently held Asian Para Games, 2018 at Jakarta, Indonesia.

India recorded its best ever show in the Asian Games by bagging 72 medals, including 15 gold, 24 silver and 33 bronze medals.

Performance of the ONGC players is as under:

Ms. Devanshi Satija, Swimming: won a Silver medal in 100 Mtr Butterfly & a Silver medal in 100 Mtr freestyle.

Manish Narwal, Shooting: won a Gold medal in 10 Mtr Pistol and a Silver medal in 50 Mtr Pistol.

ONGC makes a mark in Asian Para Games 2018

After successfully organizing the first ONGC Para Games in Dec 2017, the management decided to promote talented Para sports persons in the country keeping a target to represent ONGC in 2020 Para Olympic Games.

ONGC has selected twelve Para Athletes on scholarship and supported them to train for the Asian Games 2018 at Jakarta, Indonesia and for Olympic Games 2020 at Tokyo.
