ONGCian Alok Kumar of India put up yet another sterling performance to bag his first ever Silver medal in the 150 points-up short format World Billiards championship held in the Northern Snooker Centre, Leeds, UK from 20-30 October, 2013. Alok Kumar ‘s dream run in the event continued as he remained unbeaten at the group stage and easily got past the challenges of Aditya Agarwal by 4-2, Dhruv Sitwala by 4-1, B. Bhaskar by 4-3 and Devendra Joshi by 5-1 in the last 32, last 16 , quarter final and Semifinal respectively.

In the final however he ran out of steam and bowed down tamely to David Causier of England who fired 4 centuries in the best of 11 encounters and defeated Alok Kumar by 6-1.
