It's raining accolades for ONGC. The Maharatna organization has emerged as the Most Valuable PSU in the Maharatna category according to the India Today Group- MDRA Survey of India's Best PSUs ranking above other Maharatnas – NTPC, IOCL, CIL and BHEL.

Director (Finance) Mr A K Banerjee received the award on behalf of ONGC from Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Mr Ram Vilas Paswan at the Awards Night held on August 21, 2014 at New Delhi.

CMD Mr D K Sarraf said that ONGC has evolved and transformed itself with the change of time and has grown from strength to strength. Today ONGC has reached where it stands because of its excellent dynamism. The credit goes to the ONGCians who have partnered in its growth story through their knowledge, experience and commitment to take ONGC to greater heights.

The survey – first ever conducted by the India Today Group, in association with Marketing and Development Research Associates (MDRA) – a premier research organization, is an attempt to recognize the 'Temples of Modern India' – the PSUs that have played a significant role in India's socio-economic development and contribute to nearly 25 percent of India's GDP.
